Top Human Factors Online Publishing Journals
The study of human factors that concentrate on general human behaviour in relation to technology (such as studies of how people respond to various types of styles and sizes), a common form of product (such as wearable computers), a specific
environment or product design as a whole, or other basic design aspects of a particular
environment or product. The outcome of the study of human factors may include recommendations on how to redesign the study object, or a general guideline for designing such an object, depending on the objectives. In addition to researching fairly formal
human factors, it can be assumed to be occurring whenever a designer thinks about the impact of the design on the end-user, and in reality, there is a lot of corrective design research going on without standardized testing. In terms of ergonomics it is known as comfort design, practical design, and user-friendly systems, which is the concept of designing products, structures, or procedures to better take into account the relationship between them and the individuals who use them.
Articles cover a wide range of multidisciplinary approaches, including laboratory and real-world studies; quantitative and qualitative methods; ecological, information-processing, and computational perspectives; human performance models; behavioural , physiological, and neuroscientific measures; micro- and macro-ergonomics; evaluative literature reviews; methodological and state-of-the-art analyses; Human Factors also publishes special issues which focus in an interconnected way on important areas of human factors / ergonomics.
