Stock Market - Review Articles

The capital market applies to the set of stocks and exchanges where daily purchasing, sale, and issuance of publicly traded corporations' securities happens. Those financial operations are carried out by institutionalized regulated exchanges or marketplaces over the counter ( OTC), which function under a specified collection of regulations. Although all words-capital market and stock exchange-are used interchangeably, the latter word is a subset of the former in general. When one claims she is investing in the stock market, it implies she buys and sells shares / equities on one (or more) stock exchange(s) that are part of the capital market as a whole. The equity exchange, as a main sector, enables businesses to release and sell their securities to the general public for the first time via the initial public offering ( IPO) phase.
