Steroid Hormones

Steroid hormone is a chemical compound. Steroid hormone contain any of a group of hormones that are belong to the class of chemical compounds which is known as steroids, they are secreted by different steroid glands, the adrenal cortex, testes, and ovaries during pregnancy by their placenta. All steroid hormones are used to derived from cholesterol.   A steroid hormone is used for steroid that acts as a hormone. Steroid hormones can be grouped into different types corticosteroids and sex steroids. The two classes are many Steroid hormones used to their control of the metabolism, inflammation, immune to functions, salt and water balance, development of the activities that takes place characteristics and the ability for withstand illness and injury.
