Signal Transduction Top Open Access Journals
Signal transduction is that the technique by that a chemical or physical signal is transmitted via cell as a series of molecular circumstance, most typically macromolecule phosphorylation catalyzed by macromolecule kinases, that ultimately leads to a cellular response. Proteins responsible for detective work stimuli are typically termed receptors, though in some cases the term sensing element is employed. The changes evoked by matter binding (or signal sensing) during a receptor produce to an
organic chemistry cascade, that may be a chain of
organic chemistry events called a signal pathway. When signal pathways move with each other they kind networks, which permit cellular responses to be coordinated, usually by combinatorial signal events. At the molecular level, such responses embody changes within the transcription or translation of genes, and post-translational and conformational changes in
proteins, yet as changes in their location. These molecular events square measure the essential mechanisms dominant cell growth, proliferation, metabolism and plenty of alternative processes. In cellular organisms, signal transduction pathways regulate cell communication during a big variety of the way. Each element (or node) of a signal pathway is classed in keeping with the role it plays with reference to the initial information.
