Shoulder Arthroscopic Debridement
Shoulder arthroscopy is a surgical procedure used for visualizing, diagnosing , and treating various problems inside the shoulder joint and in the
rotator cuff area. This is done by means of small incisions which allow specialized instruments to be inserted. The arthroscope is a pencil-sized tool which contains magnifying lenses and a source of light. This is attached to a small camera that projects on a TV monitor a clear picture of the joint, allowing your surgeon to see all the structures inside your shoulder. A variety of common shoulder problems, including bursitis, tendonitis, arthritis, impingement,
rotator cuff tears, labral tears, and shoulder instability, are treated with arthroscopic shoulder surgery. Usually patients with shoulder arthroscopy did not respond well to other treatment options including rest, physical therapy, anti-inflammatory
drugs and injections of steroids.
