Scholarly Journals On Pigmentation Disorders

Scholarly journal is a peer-reviewed journal which publishes scholarships related to a specific academic discipline. Scholarly journals serve as forums for introducing and presenting new research and criticizing existing research to be scrutinised. Typically content takes the form of articles that present original research, review articles and book reviews. Pigmentation abnormalities are defects in the human skin color, including loss or decrease, and may be linked with melanocyte deficiency or melanocyte inability to adequately manufacture melanin or carry melanosomes. Some disorders, such as pregnancy or the disease of Addison (decreased adrenal gland function), can contribute to increased melanin production and hyperpigmentation. Sunlight penetration is a significant cause of hyperpigmentation, which can mask even hyperpigmented regions.
