Polymer Chemistry Open Access Articles
Polymer
chemistry is a subdivision of
chemistry that focuses on the chemical, chemical synthesis, structure, and physical properties of
macromolecules and polymers. The principles and methods used in polymer
chemistry are also applicable through a wide range of other sub-disciplines of
chemistry such as analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, and physical chemistry. Many metallic, polymeric, and ceramic materials are entirely organic to DNA and other biological molecules, however, generally refer to polymer
chemistry in the context of synthetic organic compositions. Synthetic
polymers are ubiquitous in everyday materials and commercial products, commonly referred to as rubber and plastics, and are major constituents of composites.
