Orthopedic
trauma is a severe injury to part of the musculosketal system, these injury can affect the bones, joints or soft
tissues or orthopedic surgeons are best equipped to handle the problem the goal is to heal the healing of broken bones and related tissues. Some procedures that orthopedic
trauma experts performed are limb lengthening, bone transplantation, joint transplantation, bone grafts, soft tissue reconstruction,
surgery on the pelvis and scetabulum, treatment on non union fractures,osteomylitis treatment. Orthopedic surgeons work cooperatively with experts in plastic surgery, vascular
surgery and neurosurgery. This includes attending nearby bones, surrounding nerves, associated soft
tissues and vasculatue. An orthopedic
trauma may result in week or months of recovery time.
