Newer-Ozone-Disc-Nucleolysis Research Articles

Disc herniations can be treated with a minimally invasive procedure using ozone without the necessity of a surgical procedure. Under CT guidance in 1998 Muto suggested intradiscal injection of ozone for disk hernia, and Leonardi popularized fluoroscopy guided ozone injection into the intervertebral disc. Ozone alters the core of the intervertebral disk in a way that resolves the herniation of the disk. The treatment is performed under local anaesthesia and ozone is introduced into the intervertebral disc by means of a fine needle without the need to open the spinal canal. Under the precise guidance provided by computed tomography or C arm, microtherapy is performed.  Journal article is sometimes referred to as a scientific paper, a peer-reviewed paper, or a scholarly research article.
