Marine-natural-products Top Journals
Marine natural products gain importance in the development of new biologically active components. There are many products having similar structural appearance that have been discovered and their properties studied. The compounds derived are antiviral, and inhibit
tumor growth. Hence they have grown in importance to be developed by synthesis in the laboratory. The various research studies analyze their properties and techniques to synthesize them in labs to make use of such compounds. Marine natural products are the raw material to derive biologically active compounds from marine organisms like sponges, corals and mollusks. Such compounds have profound effects to regulate biological activities that are antifungal, anti inflammatory and anti cancerous. Marine sponges are a abundant source of terpenoids which inhibit protein synthesis and are anti inflammatory.
