Inflammatory Cytokines Journals

An inflammatory cytokine or proinflammatory cytokine is a type of signaling molecule (a cytokine) which is secreted from immune cells such as helper T cells (Th) and macrophages, and certain other types of cells which promote inflammation. Proinflammatory cytokines are primarily produced by activated macrophages, and are involved in inflammatory reaction up-regulation. There is ample evidence of the involvement of certain pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β , IL-6 and TNF-α in the pathological pain process. It is possible to divide inflammatory cytokines into two groups: those involved in acute inflammation, and those responsible. Inflammation, the tissue 's response to injury, is characterized by increased blood flow and vascular permeability along with accumulation of fluid, leukocytes, and inflammatory mediators such as cytokines in the acute phase. The journal would provide a platform for and motivate scholars, students, technologists and specialists to share their professional and academic expertise in Inflammation.
