Herbal medicine is also called phytomedicine, or botanical medicine. It refers to the use of plant seeds, berries, roots, leaves, bark or flowers of a plant for medicinal purposes. Herbalism has a long tradition of being used outside traditional medicine. It is gaining ground as improvements in analysis and quality control and advances in clinical research demonstrate the value of herbal treatment in the treatment and prevention of disease. Plants have been used for medicinal purposes long before history. An article from a journal is sometimes called a scientific article, peer-reviewed article, or scientific research article. Newspaper articles are sometimes called literature in a particular area. Most often, journals are published as key research sites. However, they can also be review articles.
