hearing loss is a partial or total hearing loss. It is caused by many different factors, including, but not limited to, age, noise, illness, chemical and physical trauma. A diagnosis is made to determine the severity of hearing impairment and is measured in decibels. It may be classified as mild, moderate, moderately severe, severe or severe. There are a number of measures that can be taken to prevent hearing loss, but in some cases it is impossible to reverse or prevent hearing loss.
