Head-Trauma Scholarly Peer-review Journal

Most Head trauma involves minor injuries and does not require special attention or hospitalization. Only mild injuries can, however, cause permanent chronic symptoms such as headaches or concentration difficulties. You may need to take some time away from your daily activities to get enough rest and make sure that you recover fully. A medical professional should evaluate head trauma that is associated with other symptoms of a concussion, such as nausea, unstableness, headaches or concentration difficulty. If serious head trauma occurs before medical assistance arrives, keep the injured person lying down and still, with slightly elevated head and shoulders.  Apply strong pressure to the wound, using sterile gauze or a clean cloth. Check for improvements in alertness and respiration.
