Glycomics Articles Open Access

Glycomics is an engineering that's wont to study the structure and performance of the carbohydrates (Sugar) in biological system. Lypidomics provides the entire profile of the cell, tissue or organism inclusive of biological molecules: proteins/amino-acids, sugars and nucleic acids. Lipidomics is that the large-scale study of pathways and networks of cellular lipids in biological systems. The word "lipidome" is employed to explain the entire lipid profile within a cell, tissue, organism, or ecosystem and may be a subset of the "metabolome". The three other major classes of biological moleculeS are proteins/amino-acids, sugars and nucleic acids. This rapidly expanding field complements the large progress made in genomics and proteomics, all of which constitute the family of systems biology. Lipidomics involves the identification and quantification of the thousands of cellular lipid molecular species and their interactions. Glycomics is that the comprehensive study of glycomes, including genetic, physiologic, pathologic, and other aspects.
