 Glucose intolerance is term for metabolic conditions which end in high blood sugar levels. Pre-diabetes, type 2 diabetes, impaired fasting glucose and impaired glucose tolerance are all conditions which fall into the term glucose intolerant. Immune-mediated causes of impaired glucose tolerance include stiff person syndrome and anti-insulin receptor abnormalities. Other causes of glucose intolerance are disease (as in cirrhosis) and kidney failure . Foods to avoid, sweetened beverages, including fruit juices, soda, and fountain drinks. alcohol, particularly beer and ethyl alcohol , especially in large quantities. starchy vegetables, like potatoes and yams (especially without skin), pumpkin, corn. processed snacks and boxed foods. There are some main signs and symptoms of gluten intolerance. 1. Bloating. Bloating is once you feel as if your belly is swollen or filled with gas after you've eaten. 2. Diarrhea, Constipation and Smelly Feces. 3. Abdominal Pain. 4. Headaches. 5. Feeling Tired. 6. Skin Problems. 7. Depression. 8. Unexplained Weight Loss. Prediabetes doesn't usually have any signs or symptoms. One possible sign of prediabetes is darkened skin on certain parts of the body. Drugs or chemical agents with adverse effects on glucose tolerance include the subsequent , Thiazides, Diazoxide, Glucocorticoids, Calcineurin inhibitors, like cyclosporine and tacrolimus, Oral contraceptives.
