DNA Forensic Research Future Open Access Articles
Forensic DNA analysis has played an important role within the investigation and determination of thousands of crimes since the late 1980s. The demand for tools and technologies altogether areas of forensic science, including DNA testing, far exceed the present capabilities of the sector. It is also utilized in parentage testing, to determine immigration eligibility, and in genealogical and medical research. Forensic scientists can use DNA profiles to spot criminals or determine parentage. A DNA profile is like a genetic fingerprint. Every person features a unique DNA profile, making it very useful for identifying people involved during a crime. DNA has been notably important to the sector of forensic science. The discovery of DNA has meant that the guilt or innocence of an individual who is investigated for a criminal offense are often determined. It also means scarce evidence can still yield vital clues regarding the perpetrator of a criminal offense.
