Dental Trauma Research Articles
Traumatic dental injury (TDI) is a major public
health concern for professionals and has already been seriously neglected. The prevalence of dental injuries in primary school children is an growing issue in dental health. Epidemiological evidence shows a large variance in the incidence of dental accidents among pre-school babies. Dental
trauma can result in displacement, fracturing, or loss of teeth. The consequences of traumatic injuries to primary teeth include changes in physical appearance, communications activities, and emotional impacts, which impact the
quality of life of the child. Preschool infants are more vulnerable to TDI because of their low coordination, slow reflexes, and uncertain gestures.
