Climate is derived from an Ancient Greek word Klima, which means inclination, which is commonly defined as the weather averaged over a long period. The standard averaging period is 30 years, but other periods could also be used counting on the aim . Climate also includes statistics other than the average, such as the magnitude of day-to-day or year-to-year variation. Over historical time spans, there are variety of nearly constant variables that determine climate, including latitude, altitude, proportion of land to water etc. Temperature, atmospheric pressure, wind, humidity, and precipitation are the elements of climate. All of those variables change only over periods of many years thanks to processes like tectonics . There are several ways to climates into similar regimes. Originally, climes were defined in Ancient Greece to explain the weather depending upon a location's latitude.
