Carotid Body Tumors
A carotid body tumor, otherwise called a chemodectoma or paraganglioma, is a
tumor situated on the neck, where the enormous carotid course branches into littler veins to convey blood into the cerebrum. The group of
cells around that stretching is known as the carotid body, or carotid glomus. The
tumors that create there are not dangerous, yet they can develop rapidly and push on close by nerves and veins, making harm those structures. Sometimes, a patient will build up numerous little
tumors instead of a solitary tumor. Carotid body
tumors are generally uncommon, happen in the two people, and are frequently found in the individuals who are moderately aged or more seasoned.
