Biochemistry is that the study of chemical processes within and concerning living organisms. Biochemical processes produce to the complexity of life. Biochemistry are often divided in three fields; genetics , protein science and metabolism.  Almost all areas of the life sciences, like botany, medicine and genetics are being uncovered and developed by biochemical methodology and research. Biochemistry focuses on understanding how biological molecules produce to the processes that occur within living cells and between cells, which successively relates greatly to the study and understanding of tissues, organs, and organism structure and function. An enzyme binding site that might normally bind substrate can alternatively bind a competitive inhibitor, preventing substrate access. Dihydrofolate reductase is inhibited by methotrexate which prevents binding of its substrate, vitamin Bc . Binding site in blue, inhibitor in green, and then substrate in black.Fields closely associated with biochemistry include biophysics, cell biology, and molecular biology. Biophysics applies to biology the techniques of physics. Cell biology cares with the organization and functioning of the individual cell. Molecular biology, is a term first utilized in 1950, and It overlaps biochemistry and is principally concerned with the molecular level of organization. The science of biochemistry has also been called physiological chemistry and biological chemistry.
