Best Open Access Journals In Neurodegenerative Disorders
Neurons are the building blocks of the systema nervosum which incorporates the
brain and medulla spinalis .
Neurons normally don’t reproduce or replace themselves, so once they become damaged or die they can't get replaced by the body. samples of
neurodegenerative diseases include Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and Huntington’s disease.
Neurodegenerative diseases are incurable and debilitating conditions that end in progressive degeneration and / or death of nerve cells. This causes problems with movement (called ataxias), or mental functioning (called dementias).Dementias are liable for the best burden of
neurodegenerative diseases, with Alzheimer’s representing approximately 60-70% of
dementia cases. Parkinson's disease is that the second commonest
neurodegenerative disorder. It typically manifests as bradykinesia, rigidity, resting
tremor and posture instability. The crude prevalence rate of PD has been reported to range from 15 per 100,000 to 12,500 per 100,000, and therefore the incidence of PD from 15 per 100,000 to 328 per 100,000, with the disease being less common in Asian countries. paralysis agitans may be a disorder of the central systema nervosum . It results from the death of dopamine-generating
cells within the nucleus niger , a neighborhood of the midbrain; the explanation for cell-death is unknown. The mechanism by which the
brain cells in Parkinson's are lost may contains an abnormal accumulation of the protein alpha-synuclein sure to
ubiquitin within the damaged cells. The alpha-synuclein-ubiquitin complex can't be directed to the proteasome. This protein accumulation forms proteinaceous cytoplasmic inclusions called Lewy bodies.
