Asthma is a chronic
lung disease which causes the airways to become inflamed. This
inflammation causes swelling in the airways and becomes very sensitive. It can cause wheezing and tightness in the chest.
Asthma affects people of all ages and genders. 8.3 per cent of people in the United States have asthma, according to the Centers for
Disease Prevention and Control (CDC). There may be a genetic link of all forms of asthma. Many common types of
asthma include: adult onset asthma, bronchospasm caused by exercise, allergic asthma, non-allergic asthma, occupational
asthma , chronic obstructive
pulmonary disease asthma. A individual who has a family
history of the condition is more likely to develop asthma. In other words,
asthma can be genetic. The
