The variety of life on Earth, its biological diversity is typically mentioned as biodiversity.The number of species of plants, animals, and microorganisms, the huge diversity of genes in these species, the various ecosystems on the earth , like deserts, rainforests and coral reefs are all a part of a biologically diverse Earth.Appropriate conservation and sustainable development strategies plan to recognize this as being integral to any approach to preserving biodiversity. Almost all cultures have their roots in our biological diversity in how or form.Declining biodiversity is therefore a priority for several reasons. Biodiversity refers to the variability of living species on Earth, including plants, animals, bacteria, and fungi. While Earth’s biodiversity is so rich that tons of species have yet to be discovered, many species are being threatened with extinction because of human activities, putting the Earth’s magnificent biodiversity at risk. Why is Biodiversity Important? Biodiversity boosts ecosystem productivity where each species, regardless of how small, all have a crucial role to play. For example, • a bigger number of plant species means a greater sort of crops • Greater species diversity ensures natural sustainability for all life forms • Healthy ecosystems can better withstand and get over a spread of disasters. • And so, while we dominate this planet, we still got to preserve the range in wildlife.
