Aquatic Plants Research Articles

Aquatic plants are plants that have acclimate to breathing in aquatic environments. They are attributed as hydrophytes or macrophytes to analyze them from algae and other microphytes. A macrophyte is a plant that grows in or adjoining water and is either emergent, submergent, or floating.The outstanding factor managing the delivery of aquatic plants is the extent and duration of flooding. However, other factors may also restraint their distribution, abundance, and growth form, including nutrients, disturbance from waves, grazing, and salinity. A few aquatic plants are able to endure in brackish, saline, and salt water. Although most aquatic plants can duplicate by flowering and setting seeds, many have also emerged to have comprehensive asexual reproduction by means of rhizomes, turions, and fragments.
