Anatomy Education
Anatomy is usually considered the 'foundation of medical sciences, but in medical
education it is also perceived as an onerous and challenging subject. To create a stable base for potential clinical experiences and professional practice, medical students must gain core anatomical knowledge.
Anatomy has traditionally been considered a dull,
labor intensive subject, and has been taught using surface learning approaches and rote memorization. However, with the adoption of modern philosophies, approaches, and effective teaching and learning strategies, the teaching of
anatomy undergoes an
evolutionary change. An significant issue is that
anatomy teaching in medical and other
health professional
education programs is declining and in recent years, has dropped below a healthy standard. This journal publishes
research articles on homeostasis, molecular biology, neuro-anatomy, clinical anatomy, forensic anatomy, surgical anatomy, developmental anatomy, etc.
