Water Stress Quality Articles
Plants suffer from water stress, either when the supply of water to the roots is limited or when the level of sweat becomes intense. Water
stress is mainly caused by lack of water such as drought or high salinity in the soil. Water pressure occurs when the water demand exceeds the amount available for a certain period of time, or when poor quality limits its use. Water pressure causes a decrease in freshwater resources in terms of quantity and quality. Water
stress affects the spectral signal of vegetation and soil. Because of the absorption of electromagnetic energy in the infrared shortwave range (SWIR), reflectivity decreases with increasing water content in the leaves. In addition, the effect of water absorption in the infrared shortwave range (SWIR) is strong. Chronic water pressure can cause increased water restrictions, airport costs, or improvements to expensive water-saving infrastructure. Likewise, chronic flooding due to rising sea levels may require an increase in expensive drainage systems, runway surfaces and interconnection infrastructure in the long run.
