Vasculitis Review Articles

Vasculitis is an inflammation of your blood vessels. This causes changes in the walls of the blood vessels, including weakening, narrowing, thickening,  or scarring. These changes can restrict blood flow, resulting in damage to tissues and organs . There are many types of vasculitis, and most are rare. Vasculitis can affect only one organ, or several. The condition can be short-term (acute) or long-term (chronic). Vasculitis can affect anyone, though some types are more common in some groups. Depending on the type you have, you may get better treatment. Some types require medication to control inflammation and prevent flare-ups. Vasculitis is also known as angitis and atherosclerosis.
