Diabetes may be a disease that happens when your blood sugar , also called blood glucose , is just too high. Blood glucose is the primary energy source, which comes from the food you consume. Insulin, a pancreatic hormone, allows the glucose from food to reach the cells for energy use. Diabetes can be a chronic condition that is linked to abnormally high blood sugar levels (glucose). Pancreatic-producing insulin reduces blood glucose. Absence or insufficient production of insulin, or an inability of the body to properly use insulin causes diabetes. There are signs and symptoms of diabetes which are common to both men and women, for example: • Excessive thirst and hunger. • Frequent urination (from urinary tract infections or kidney problems) • Weight loss or gain. • Fatigue. • Irritability. • Blurred vision. • Slow-healing wounds. • Nausea. There is no cure for diabetes, but it can enter remission. This can be handled by people with changes in medicine and lifestyle. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that develops when the body destroys the insulin producing cells in the pancreas. This means that folks with type 1 diabetes don't make insulin. The main symptoms of hyperglycemia are increased thirst and a frequent got to urinate. Other symptoms which will occur with high blood glucose are, Headaches, Tiredness.
