Sports Doping Scholarly Peer-review Journal
"Doping" means the use of prohibited substances in competitive sports. A further term used for
drugs used by athletes to improve their
athletic performance is performance enhancement
drugs (PEDs). The biggest reason for sports doping is that most of these substances can have dangerous and long-lasting adverse effects which may include the following: Irregular heart rate,
high blood pressure ,
heart attack and sudden death, Insomnia,
anxiety , depression, abuse, suicide, headache, withdrawal addiction, psychosis, tremor, dizziness, stroke, Bleeding nose, sinusitis, Gynecomastia, testicular scale reduction, poor sex drive, acromegaly, cancer. The prohibited substances are used to gain an unfair advantage that greatly demeans the competitive spirit.
