Immunodermatology studies skin as an organ of immunity in health and disease. Several areas have special attention, like photo-immunology (effects of UV light on skin defense), inflammatory diseases like Hidradenitissuppurativa, allergic dermatitis and atopic dermatitis, presumably autoimmune skin diseases like vitiligo and psoriasis, and eventually the immunology of microbial skin diseases like retrovirus infections and leprosy. New therapies in development for the immunomodulation of common immunological skin diseases include biologicals aimed toward neutralizing TNF-alfa and chemokine receptor inhibitors.Immunodermatology may be a medicine that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of skin disorders characterized by defective responses of the body's immune system. Vitamin D and calcium supplementation have contributed to the stabilization of the disease. Fahr’ssyndrome is likewise referred to as Fahr’s disease, also referred to as idiopathic basal ganglia calcification. Fahr ailment is the mixture of encephalopathy and revolutionary calcification of the basal ganglia.
