Microbial
The term
microbial relates to the distinctive characteristics of a
microorganism particularly a bacterium initiating disease or fermentation. The minute life form which cannot be seen through the naked eye is known as a microbe and its study is known as microbiology. The field
microbiology involves the collective study and research of mechanical and functional aspects of microbes, viz. bacteria, virus, fungi etc. It also comprises the
education and novelty of innovative methods of amending the
immune system to fight and resist against various
microbial infections. Skin acts as the major source of
microbial contamination during operating procedures. The research in
microbiology involves the study of bacteriology, virology, parasitology,
physiology and mycology.
