Scholarly Journals In Cell Culture

Cell culture is basically reproduction and survival of cells in an artificial environment. There are very common areas of use in cell cultures. The areas in which the cell culture is used can be counted as monoclonal antibody, viral and insect vaccine, enzyme, hormone, interleukin, and growth factor productions. Today advancements in the cell culture studies have led to the development of regenerative medicine concept. Here differentiation is an important factor. Cell differentiation is a common situation that is provided by internal cellular program and environmental conditions. Knowing the characteristics and factors of cellular differentiation enables the cells that are studied in the cell culture to be easily manipulated. Cell culture studies need special working conditions. A cell culture laboratory must be a sterile environment. Contamination is the most common problem in the cell culture studies. When it cannot be resolved, it might cause serious losses. A good cell culture practice happens when necessary appropriate conditions are met and standard contamination factors are removed. The culture environment must necessarily be arranged in a way that is suitable to the characteristics that the cells need. Follow-up of the culture environment via macroscopic and microscopic ways is important. There are two significant factors that limit the reproduction of the cells in culture.
