Prosthodontics Scholarly Journal
Prosthodontics, conjointly called dental medical specialty or prosthetic dental medicine, is that the space of dental medicine that focuses on dental prostheses. Dental professional’s theory was pioneered by French sawbones Pierre Fauchard throughout the late seventeenth and early eighteenth century. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) became the gold normal for evaluating the effectiveness of treatment interventions. If not properly controlled, bias within the style of trial methodology will have an effect on the validity of the study results. The aim of this investigation was to assess the method quality of RCTs printed in three
dentistry journals over a 10-year amount. Material and ways problems with The International Journal of dental medicine, The Journal of Prosthetic dental medicine, and also the Journal of dental medicine printed between 1988 and 1997 were searched manually to spot RCTs. Specific inclusion and exclusion criteria were established to spot
articles regarding studies that qualified as RCTs. 2 freelance reviewers evaluated all qualified RCTs on the idea of however potential sources of bias within the trial methodology were controlled. 3 areas—control of bias at entry, management of bias in assessment of outcome, and management of bias when entry—were evaluated with a theme developed through the Cochrane Collaboration.
