history of medical foods, how they're distinguished from
drugs and nutritional supplements, and therefore the FDA rules under which they need to be developed and used.A prescription (also prescription medication or prescription medicine) may be a pharmaceutical drug that legally requires a medical prescription to be dispensed. In contrast, over-the-counter
drugs are often obtained without a prescription. the rationale for this difference in substance control is that the potential scope of misuse, from

environmental chemicals and cause uncertain ecological effects.
