Physiology Journals:
Physiology is the scientific study of functions and mechanisms in living systems. As a sub-discipline of biology,
physiology focuses on how organisms, organ systems, individual organs,
cells and
biomolecules carry out chemical and physical functions in living systems. According to the class of organisms, the field can be divided into medical physiology, animal physiology,
plant physiology, cell
physiology and comparative physiology. The core of
physiological functions are biophysical and biochemical processes, homeostatic control mechanisms and communication between cells. The physiological state is a state of normal functioning, whereas the pathological state refers to abnormal conditions, including human diseases.
Physiology is the science of life. This is a branch of biology that aims to understand the mechanism of living things, from basic cell functions at the ionic and molecular level to integrated behaviour throughout the body and the influence of the external environment. Specialist fields and
physiology departments include cell physiology, special physiology, system physiology, and pathological physiology, often referred to as pathology.
