Mesenchymal Stem Cell
Mesenchymal stem
cells ( MSCs) can develop various cell types that belong to our skeletal tissues, such as cartilage , bone and fat. Scientists are investigating how MSCs could be used to treat diseases of the bones and cartilage. Some MSC work is also investigating treatments for other diseases, but the theoretical foundation has not yet been developed or generally accepted for such applications.
Mesenchymal stem
cells are multipotent adult stem
cells present in various tissues, including the umbilical cord, the bone marrow and the fat tissue. Via division,
mesenchymal stem cells may regenerate themselves and divide into multiple tissues, including bone , cartilage, muscle and fat cells, and connective tissue.
