Medical Malpractice Impact Factor

Medical malpractice happens when a patient is injured by a negligent act or omission by a hospital, physician or other health care professional. The negligence could result from errors in diagnosis , treatment, aftercare or management of health. The legislation acknowledges that under similar or similar conditions, there are certain medical requirements which the profession accepts as appropriate medical treatment by fairly responsible health care professionals. The patient must also prove that he or she sustained an injury which would not have occurred without negligence. An unfavorable outcome is not wrongdoing by itself. The patient needs to prove the injury was caused by negligence.
