Loop-mediated Isothermal Amplification

"Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) is a single-tube DNA amplification technique, and a low-cost option for the detection of some diseases. Isothermal Amplification (RT-LAMP) combines LAMP with a reverse transcription step to allow RNA detection. LAMP is an amplification technique for the isothermal nucleic acid. Unlike the polymerase chain reaction ( PCR) technique in which the reaction occurs with a sequence of alternating steps or temperature cycles, isothermal amplification is conducted at a constant temperature and does not require a thermal cycler."
