Leading Journals In Pediatric Endocrinology

Pediatric endocrinology is a medical subspecialty that deals with pediatric endocrine glands. These include variations in child sexual development and  physical growth , other hormonal conditions and diabetes . Hormones play key roles in the way we develop and regulate sugar, grow, food metabolism, and perform other normal body functions. The endocrine system - which includes the thyroid, pituitary,  pancreas and adrenal - uses these hormones to correspond with the body. Glandular inconsistencies, or hormone production and release can cause abnormalities in the body that can lead to endocrine disorders. The glands release hormones into our bloodstream so they can pass through our blood to other cells where they help control and maintain our bodily functions. Our endocrine system also affects essential functions, such as our heartbeat, the growth of our bones and tissues, and the fertility of our bodies.
