Innate Immunity Scholarly Peer Review Journals

Journals Innate immunity is the person's inborn immune response. Innate immunity is by nature unspecific. Innate immune response depends on the recognition of evolutionarily preserved pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) present on pathogens. The immune system, the diverse array of defensive responses present in humans and other specialized vertebrates that help repel disease-causing species (pathogens), is one of the two primary mechanisms of defenses present in vertebrates (the other being the adaptive immune system). Two mutual protection mechanisms, called non-specific, innate immunity and unique, acquired immunity, also grant disease immunity. The innate immune system informs the adaptive immune system when it is time to help construct a defence. It does this by posting two types of changes on the surface of the phagocyte which activate the adaptive immune system. These changes are important for activation of the entire immune system.
