Important Pharmacogenomics Journals

Pharmacogenomics is a branch of pharmacology that deals with the influence of genetic variations on drug responses in patients by correlating gene expression or single nucleotide polymorphisms with efficacy or toxicity of drugs. It aims to develop rational ways to optimize drug therapy, with respect to the patient's genotype, to ensure maximum efficacy with minimal side effects. It is the study of how a person  genetic inheritance affects the body's response to drugs. It is the overall genomic application of pharmacogenetics, which examines the interaction of single genes with drugs. Medications interact with your body in many ways, depending on how you use the drug and where it acts in your body.
