A genome is referred to as genetic material of an organism In the fields of molecular biology & genetics. It consists of DNA or RNA in RNA viruses. The genome includes both the genes, the coding regions and the noncoding DNA as well as mitochondrial DNA & chloroplast DNA. The study of the genome is known as genomics.A genome is a complete set of DNA present in an organism's body, including all of its genes. Each genome will contain all  the information that is  needed to build & maintain that organism. In humans, a copy of the entire genome has more than 3 billion DNA base pairs and is contained in all cells that have a nucleus.A genome sequence is the complete list of the nucleotides that are Adenine, Cytosine, Guanine and Thymine of DNA genomes that will make up all the chromosomes of an individual or a species. Within a species, the vast majority of nucleotides are identical between the individuals, but the sequencing of multiple individuals is necessary to understand the genetic diversity
