 The family history is all about  family structure and relationships within the family, including information about diseases in relations. Family histories could also be imprecise due to various possible reasons: Adoption, fostering, illegitimacy and adultery Lack of contact between close relatives, Uncertainty about the relative's exact diagnosis, In complex situations, a genealogy or genogram could also be wont to organize the resulting information. Some medical conditions are carried only by the feminine line like X-linked conditions and a few Mitochondrial diseases. Tracing female ancestors are often difficult in societies that change the woman's surname when she marries. Death records often give the surname of the deceased, and possibly also the deceased's mother’s surname .  A number of the foremost useful records for tracing women are wills and probate records. Other medical conditions are carried only by the male line, though these Y-linked conditions are rare due to the tiny size of the Y chromosome. Disease information from family members provides valuable insights into familial pathologies, including heart disease, asthma, diabetes, obesity, infectious diseases, sexually transmitted diseases, gut diseases and microbe ecology, skin disorders, behavioural disorders mental disorders. Family includes aunts, uncles and grandparents in addition to parents and siblings. An accurate family history is a well established method to identify genetic disorders and susceptibilities that may pose risk for future health problems. Mostly the family history will identify families with increased susceptibility to disorders such as diabetes or hypertension.
