Community-Based Obesity Intervention

Interest in community-based interventions (CBIs) for health promotion is increasing, with heaps of recent activity within the field. From a government perspective, to look at the expertise of funding and managing six obesity bar CBIs, to spot lessons learned and to think about the implications for future investment. Specifically, we have a tendency to concentrate on the look, government support, evaluation, analysis and force development needed. Recent trends in health promotion emphasise community-based (or whole-of-community) programs as a crucial strategy for achieving population-level modification in risk factors and health.
