Clinical Pharmacology consists of multiple branches listed below:   Pharmacodynamics – It deals with what drugs do to the body and how. This includes the max concentration, time, half-life etc.. Pharmacokinetics – It deals with what body does to the drug. This involves following classification: Absorption - the process of the drug entering into the systemic circulation. Distribution - the movement of the drug from one location to the other in the human body Metabolism - the process of how the drug is metabolized in the liver of the human body Excretion - the process elimination of drug from the body that happens in the liver and kidneys. Rational Prescribing – prescribing decisions are made in appropriate way. Adverse Drug Effects – unintended effects that occur within therapeutic range. Toxicology – a field of science that help us to study about harmful effects of chemicals in the environment. Drug interactions – study of reaction between two drugs or drug with other substances. Drug development - usually involves the bringing of new medicine or drug into market in some form of clinical trials by specific drug regulators such as US FDA. Molecular Pharmacology - studying drug action at the molecular level.
