Blood Donation

Blood donation refers to the process where blood and blood components are obtained, analyzed, packaged, and processed. Donors are most commonly unpaid volunteers, although commercial companies can also pay them. Blood registry refers to the gathering and sharing of donated blood and ineligible donor data. You'll be offering about 470 ml of whole blood during a daily donation. This is around eight percent of the blood volume of the average person. The body absorbs this amount within 24 to 48 hours and fills red blood cells within 10 to 12 weeks.
