Biomedicine (also called Western Medicine, Mainstream Medicine or Conventional Medicine) is a branch of medical science that applies the principles of biology and physiology to clinical practice. Biomedicine as a branch of medicine combined with biological research or, in other words, the application of natural sciences to clinical medicine, in particular biological and physiological sciences. Biomedicine emphasizes systematic, evidence-based treatment that is validated by biological research and given treatment. Biomedicine is based on molecular biology and combines all the issues surrounding the development of molecular medicine into large-scale structural and functional relationships between the human genome, transcriptome, proteome, physiome and metabolome with the particular perspective of developing new predictive, diagnostic and therapy technologies
