Laxometer is a scalp measuring machine which has the ability to determine the scalpels mobility on the skin onto which it is introduced. Hair transplantation always requires the perfect scalpel which has the ability to fixate and the ability to grow and develop at normal rate. The machine determines whether the scalpel can perform at the expected level. Clinical laxometer are regular measuring device to determine the scalpel. There is an another form of laxometer namely intra-operative laxometer that are used during the surgical process before removing the strip. This is used to measure the scalp activity before introducing and reducing the wound at the site where it is operated.
