Applied Mathematics-open-access:

Applied mathematics is a branch of mathematics which practices mathematics to solve problems of additional branches of science. There are many fields: Approximation theory: Occasionally it is not possible to get a precise solution to a problem, because this might take too long, or it may not be possible at all. This theory looks at ways to get a solution which is close to the exact one, and which can be found faster. Numerical analysis and simulation: This field considers numerous algorithms to get estimates for mathematical problems. The study of numerical linear algebra and validated numeric are as well included in this field. Probability and Statistics: Exactly how likely is it that something will happen? - If a coin is tossed 100 times, and lands heads up 53 times, is this coin good for games of chance, or there should be another one taken? Optimization is nearly finding improved solutions to problems. In ecology certain things are well-known about populations of animals or plants. This is commonly called Population model. Biologists use them to tell how a population changes over time. The specialization of arithmetic for applications, particularly in science and designing, has prompted a wide control generally alluded to as "Applied Mathematics".
